Mango Varieties & IdentificationWhat does seedling of mean beside a mango cultivar name in a collection record?
Read the phrase as a relationship to a source tree, not automatically as a synonym for that tree's cultivar. Check whether the entry describes a separately selected and named descendant or an unselected plant still under evaluation. Preserve the descendant's identifier and the stated parent relationship. This keeps cultivar comparisons from combining a parent and its offspring merely because both names appear in one pedigree note.
