Mango Varieties & IdentificationWhat does a breeder's number on a mango label tell me?
A breeder's number may identify a particular selection in a breeding or evaluation program. Keep it intact and ask which institution or breeder assigned it, since the number needs that context. Search for an official release or collection record connecting it with any later name. A number can be an important identity reference even when it is less memorable than the name used in nursery advertising.
