A red surface is not a dependable maturity signal for all mangoes. Record how much of the fruit is blushed and how that area is distributed, then assess ripeness using other evidence. Include the opposite side in your photographs rather than presenting only the most colorful face. This keeps a useful appearance observation from being mistaken for either proof of eating readiness or a unique cultivar signature.
