Lenticels are among the skin features used in mango descriptions, but not every visible mark should be scored as the same structure. Photograph a clean side surface closely and describe the dots' size, visibility, and texture. Note irregular lesions or abrasions separately. Consistent observations can support a comparison; a few conspicuous spots on a damaged fruit provide much weaker evidence about cultivar identity.
