Mango Varieties & IdentificationWhat do numerical scores in a formal mango descriptor table mean?
A score may encode a defined state such as short, medium, or long rather than represent a physical measurement. Read the legend and trait definition before comparing numbers from different tables. Preserve the scale alongside the value so it can be interpreted later. A higher score is not automatically better fruit, stronger evidence, or greater identity confidence; it has meaning only within the specified characteristic and scoring system.
