Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Growing & Tree CareHow can I tell whether a support tie is harming my mango?

Look for an indentation, rubbed bark, a swollen stem above the tie, or material disappearing into the trunk. These signs mean the support needs attention now, even if the tree still looks green. Replace restrictive ties with an appropriate nonabrasive arrangement and reassess whether staking is still needed. Photograph any damaged area so you can tell whether it expands after the pressure is removed.
