Growing & Tree CareAre coppery, limp-looking new mango leaves a reason to prune?
New mango growth can look very different from the older canopy while leaves expand and harden. Compare the whole flush and watch whether it develops normally before removing healthy shoots. Persistent collapse, spreading dead tissue, or damage confined to individual tips deserves closer examination. Pruning a normal young flush removes future leaf area and can obscure the pattern needed to identify a real problem.
