Mango growth occurs in flushes, and individual branches do not always move through those stages together. Uneven flushing by itself does not mean the quiet side is dying. Compare light exposure, recent pruning, and any branch injury before intervening. Record which sections stay inactive through subsequent favorable growth periods; persistent local inactivity is more informative than a single uneven flush.
