Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Growing & Tree CareWhat should I do about a young mango developing two competing upright trunks?

Examine the fork before deciding which growth to retain. A tight divided trunk can become a structural problem, particularly when both sides grow large and carry fruit. Early selective training is easier than correcting a mature fork. If the division is already substantial or includes a crack, obtain an arborist's assessment rather than trying to pull the trunks together with improvised hardware.
