Growing & Tree CareWhen is the usual time to prune a bearing mango?
Many tropical and subtropical programs place routine pruning soon after harvest, allowing replacement growth time to develop before the next reproductive cycle. Use the end of your own harvest as the starting point, rather than copying another hemisphere's month. Late or repeated cuts can remove useful terminals. Adjust the timing where local disease patterns or cool-season growth limitations make the usual approach unsuitable.
