Growing & Tree CareWhat should I do with mango branches that rub against each other?
Trace both branches back to their origins and decide which contributes more to the intended framework. Continued rubbing can injure bark, so the issue is worth correcting while the branches are small. Avoid simply shortening both tips if the contact point remains unchanged. On large crossing limbs, have an arborist plan the work because removing one may alter support and sun exposure elsewhere.
