Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Growing & Tree CareHow can a mango branch be removed without tearing bark down the remaining limb?

A branch's weight can pull away bark before a single top-down saw cut is finished. For manageable branches, an underside relief cut and removal of the weight in sections help prevent that tearing; the remaining stub can then be finished carefully. Keep falling sections clear of retained growth. Have an arborist handle heavy or overhead limbs, where controlling the falling wood requires more than a careful cut.
