Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Soil, Fertilizer & WateringHow should suspected iron deficiency in a mango on limestone soil be investigated?

Inspect young foliage for the pattern of yellowing and compare it with mature leaves, then consider soil pH and root condition. In alkaline ground, iron availability can be limited even when iron is present in soil. UF/IFAS identifies high-pH-compatible chelated iron as an option in that setting. Confirm the diagnosis and select a suitable formulation rather than assuming any product containing iron will behave the same way.
