Mango FAQ

Grafting & PropagationHow do I know a mango seedling is ready to graft?

Judge the condition of the plant at the intended grafting point, not its birthday alone. It needs enough vigor, sound stem tissue, and a diameter compatible with your chosen method. A tall but exhausted seedling is a poor candidate. Group nursery plants by readiness so the best material is grafted first, while smaller or recovering plants receive more growing time before another assessment.
