Established mango limbs and their suitable new shoots can receive grafts during canopy conversion. Choose a location that permits clean cutting, stable contact, and practical support for the developing scion. Branch position also determines where replacement growth will occupy space. Plan that direction before making the graft, rather than accepting a technically successful union in a position that will crowd another branch or remain difficult to inspect.
