Protect them from moisture loss in clean packaging and keep them cool and shaded while awaiting use. The package should conserve humidity without leaving the wood immersed in water. Mark the collection date and inspect the sticks before grafting, particularly after transport. Storage is a temporary accommodation; a protected package should not become a reason to postpone work until the material has visibly deteriorated.
