Choose a method that fits the available stem sizes and that you can cut and secure accurately. A simple, repeatable procedure is easier to troubleshoot than several unfamiliar methods attempted at once. Learn from a demonstrator who also explains aftercare and failed unions. For practice, keep scion source and rootstock condition reasonably consistent so differences in technique are not hidden by differences in starting material.
