Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Grafting & PropagationCan a mango graft be placed on rough, corky bark?

For common nursery grafts, choose a straight, sound section of suitable young stem instead of a rough, damaged location. Smooth tissue makes the cuts and living edges easier to judge. Older tree conversion may require a different technique or new shoots that provide better grafting sites. Do not extend instructions for a young seedling graft directly to an old trunk without accounting for that difference.
