Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Grafting & PropagationWhy can a mango scion sprout and then collapse?

Early bud growth can precede the development of a dependable union. Examine whether the scion dried, shifted, overheated, or remained poorly connected to the stock. Also check the rootstock's condition rather than assuming every collapse began above the graft. Record when growth started and when it failed; that sequence is more informative than counting every initial budbreak as a successful graft and ignoring the later losses.
