Grafting & PropagationHow should tender growth on a new mango graft be supported?
Protect it from wind, accidental brushing, and rough movement while the new growth and union strengthen. Place a support so it steadies the shoot without rubbing the graft or binding the enlarging stem. Check ties during routine watering. For several plants on a bench, leave enough working room that handling one container does not repeatedly knock the neighboring grafts and turn an otherwise good union into a mechanical failure.
