Record the mother-tree source, rootstock lot, grafting date, operator, method, and important aftercare changes. Count plants that survive through finishing, not just scions that initially sprout. Separate losses by when they occurred so bench technique and later handling can be investigated independently. A modest, consistent record is more useful than an impressive success percentage that cannot be traced to the plants and conditions behind it.
