Keep the affected lot identifiable and pause its distribution while the cause is investigated. Review whether the plants share scion source, rootstock source, treatment history, or bench conditions. Photograph normal and abnormal growth for comparison and seek a diagnostic assessment. Abnormal shoots can have several causes, so neither automatically destroying the entire nursery nor quietly passing the plants on is a useful substitute for tracing the pattern.
