Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Flowering & PollinationWhat is a mango panicle?

A panicle is the branched flower cluster produced at a mango shoot tip. It carries many individual flowers that do not all have the same reproductive role. When inspecting bloom, distinguish the condition of the entire cluster from the condition of particular flowers. A photograph that includes both the panicle and its supporting shoot is often more useful for diagnosis than a close-up showing only a few fallen petals.
