Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Flowering & PollinationCan one mango tree flower and reproduce without a second variety nearby?

A second variety is not an absolute requirement for every mango planting, since self-pollination can occur. Performance still depends on the tree, conditions, and movement of pollen among suitable flowers. Do not interpret a lone tree's poor season as proof that it needs a partner. Establish whether it flowered normally and whether weather, disease, or insect access offers a better explanation before adding another tree.
