Mixed growth can include both vegetative and reproductive structures. It should not automatically be classified as disease simply because it differs from a fully floral panicle. Photograph its overall form and compare it with clearly normal and suspicious growth on the same tree. Persistent crowding, distortion, or stunting deserves separate assessment, whereas a normal mixed shoot is an observation about growth type rather than a diagnosis by itself.
