Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Flowering & PollinationDoes a lack of honey bees mean my mango is not being pollinated?

Other insects, including flies and wasps, can visit and pollinate mango flowers. Look closely at the panicles before deciding that a quiet honey bee population means no pollen transfer is occurring. A short video can reveal visitors that are easy to overlook from a distance. Evaluate the whole flower-visiting community, and reserve a pollination-deficit diagnosis for evidence beyond the absence of one familiar insect.
