Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Flowering & PollinationWhat time of day should mango flower visitors be observed?

Morning observations are useful in many mango systems, but local activity should determine a monitoring routine. Check more than one part of the day initially, recording weather and the stage of flower opening. Once a useful local period is identified, keep comparisons consistent. An afternoon visit during unsuitable weather cannot establish that the tree lacked visitors during the earlier period when more flowers and insects were active.
