Flowering & PollinationShould a mango tree be shaken to improve pollination?
Shaking the tree does not demonstrate that pollen reaches receptive flower surfaces, and vigorous handling can damage delicate clusters. Inspect insect access and flower condition before trying mechanical movement as a remedy. A fan similarly moves air without confirming effective pollen delivery. For a sheltered tree where pollination is in doubt, a carefully observed small trial or improved insect access provides clearer information than repeated whole-tree shaking.
