Fruit Development, Ripening & HarvestCan cool weather during bloom reduce the eventual mango crop?
Mango flowers and small fruit are more vulnerable to cold than an established tree's woody framework. A tree can therefore look healthy after a cool spell yet retain little fruit. Compare exposed and sheltered branches, record the weather during bloom, and avoid using leaf survival as proof that the flowers escaped damage. Future crop expectations should reflect the actual surviving set.
