First determine which fruit are already mature enough to harvest successfully. Strong wind can cause major losses, so those fruit may justify an earlier picking pass if the work can be done safely. Keep immature fruit out of a mature lot even when the weather creates urgency. Record storm-related harvest changes so later quality problems can be traced to the correct picking date.
