Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Flavor, Quality & StorageHow is a mango's juiciness different from its softness?

Softness describes how readily the flesh yields, while juiciness describes the moisture released during eating. These qualities are evaluated separately in mango sensory work because one does not fully describe the other. When tasting, note whether the flesh is firm, melting, dry, or juicy instead of using soft as a complete quality judgment. This is especially useful when comparing fresh-cut products.
