Deep piles, rough basket surfaces, and heavier fruit placed above mangoes can create pressure and impact damage. Keep displays arranged so fruit can be selected without disturbing a large stack. Inspect the bottom and back of the display as well as its visible front. Replenish thoughtfully as ripeness changes rather than expecting soft fruit to withstand the same handling as firm arrivals.
