Pests, Diseases & DisordersCan mango powdery mildew be troublesome without prolonged rain?
Yes. The absence of repeated rainfall does not rule out powdery mildew, and a dry flowering season is not a reason to stop examining panicles. Compare the powdery growth with local diagnostic photographs rather than using weather as the only test. Record morning humidity, sheltered canopy conditions, and the stage at which damage appears. Those observations help distinguish a disease problem from poor fruit set that has another cause.
