Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Pests, Diseases & DisordersWhy should I inspect a mango orchard after wind-driven rain for bacterial disease?

Rain and wind can make bacterial black spot problems more consequential, particularly where susceptible tissue has been injured. Walk storm-exposed edges as well as sheltered rows and record new lesions separately from old scars. Do not assume every storm wound is infected, but flag trees where symptoms continue developing. Comparing exposed and protected sections gives an adviser better evidence than collecting all affected fruit into one unmarked pile.
