Pests, Diseases & DisordersWhat should I do about unusually compact, thick mango flower clusters?
Have malformed panicles assessed rather than assuming that extra flowers mean a heavy crop. Mango malformation disease can produce abnormal, crowded clusters, but other growth disturbances can resemble it. Photograph normal and abnormal growth on the same tree and retain the plant's nursery history. Where the disease is a biosecurity concern, contact the plant health authority before pruning, sending samples, or moving any propagation material.
