Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Pests, Diseases & DisordersWhat should I do if mango branches have small beetle holes and gum?

Arrange an assessment of both the insects and the affected wood. Some mango bark beetles are associated with serious decline problems, but holes alone do not identify the beetle or the organism involved. Record which branches declined first and whether nearby trees show similar symptoms. Avoid carrying suspect wood to other properties for comparison; clear photographs and a locally arranged sample are more useful and reduce unnecessary movement.
