Bags or sleeves can provide a physical barrier against some fruit pests, but they cannot reverse an infestation already inside the fruit. Choose a method suited to the locally identified pest and inspect enclosed fruit periodically. Check that the attachment does not injure the stalk and that damaged bags are replaced. Keep a small comparison of bagged and unbagged fruit to judge the benefit under your own garden conditions.
