Target inspection when a new flush, flowering period, unusual weather event, or fresh damage creates a specific risk. Keep the routine record going so an intensive check of one hotspot is not mistaken for the condition of the whole planting. Write down the reason for the extra visit and the plant parts examined. The result should answer a management question, such as whether new lesions or feeding are developing.
