Mango FAQ

1 FAQ

Pests, Diseases & DisordersCan mower or string-trimmer injury cause mango dieback?

Damage around the trunk can interrupt healthy growth and contribute to decline, especially on young trees. Inspect the base before attributing a thinning canopy to leaf pests. Record wounds around the full circumference and note whether guards or ties are also rubbing the bark. Prevent repeated contact and arrange an assessment of severe injury; spraying the canopy will not repair a trunk that continues to be struck during lawn maintenance.
