No. A description of aerosol salt exposure should not be treated as permission to use saline water or accept salt-contaminated soil. Assess the root environment separately from windborne spray. After coastal flooding, obtain local advice and testing before interpreting leaf injury or replanting decisions. A tree's survival in a coastal landscape does not identify which salt source it experienced or establish tolerance under another site's conditions.
