Inspect conditions beneath it as the day warms, especially when plastic or another poorly ventilated material is involved. Ventilate or remove it as appropriate to prevent excessive heating while retaining the ability to protect the tree again at night. Check that condensation and movement have not injured shoots. A cover installed for one cold night should not become an unattended enclosure for the following sunny days.
