Seeds, Rootstocks & BreedingDoes one emerging mango sprout prove that the seed was monoembryonic?
A single surviving sprout describes the germination result, not necessarily the original embryo count. Other embryos may not have developed into visible plants or may have failed before inspection. Record what you observed without upgrading that observation into a confirmed seed-type diagnosis. When assessing an unknown mother tree, examine multiple seeds and combine emergence observations with reliable botanical or genetic information.
