Give the lot a durable identifier linked to the collection source, mother-tree identity where known, collection date, and observed seed type. Add sowing, separation, container changes, and rejection records as production proceeds. Carry the lot identifier forward when individual plants receive new labels. This proposed record structure helps trace later variation back to a source or nursery event without claiming that every plant in the lot is genetically identical.
