Orchard & Commercial GrowingHow should mango disease-risk information influence packhouse planning?
Keep higher-risk incoming lots identifiable and use inspection results to plan sorting time, assessment, and dispatch decisions. Anthracnose can become evident during ripening, so apparently clean arrivals do not settle every later quality question. Compare risk information with retained observations rather than assigning a fixed shelf life from orchard weather alone. Allowing for additional assessment and rejects makes capacity planning more realistic when incoming fruit condition is variable.
