Getting StartedHow should I enter scionwood in my collection before I have a successful graft?
Record the acquisition as scion material, with its source and collection or receipt date when known. Add the grafting date and rootstock when you use it, and note the outcome separately. Receiving a twig does not yet establish a living tree of that cultivar. This makes your collection record useful when reviewing what survived and what you still need to obtain.
