Getting StartedCan rough bark on an older mango be part of its normal appearance?
A mango's bark can become scaly and flaky as it ages, so a mature trunk need not resemble the smoother bark of a young nursery tree. Use that normal description as a starting point, while investigating new wounds, gum, dieback, or changing lesions separately. Age-related texture alone is not enough to diagnose either disease or sound structural condition.
