A demonstration shows a practice or plant under particular conditions. A research trial uses a planned comparison and analysis to address a defined question. Both can teach you something, but an attractive demonstration plot alone does not establish how much a treatment improved mango performance. Ask what was compared, how variation was handled, and what evidence supports the stated result.
