Getting StartedWhat are nodes and internodes when a mango adviser describes a shoot?
Nodes are positions on a stem associated with leaves and buds; internodes are the stretches of stem between them. Look along an intact shoot to learn the pattern before making decisions from a detached leaf. These terms let you describe a particular growth section accurately. They should not be confused with the nursery graft union or with every surface mark on older bark.
