Mango Varieties & IdentificationDoes Hapus in a mango listing refer to a different cultivar from Alphonso?
The Alphonso record lists Hapus, Hafus, Hapoos, and several related spellings as associated names. They can help connect regional listings to the Alphonso entry. Ask the seller to confirm the intended cultivar and source, especially when comparing nursery offers. Recognizing a listed synonym makes the search easier but should not substitute for documenting the plant you actually purchase.
