Mango Varieties & IdentificationCan a slowly growing young Lemon Zest be assumed to stay compact?
The Lemon Zest record specifically describes relatively slow initial growth followed by the potential for vigorous upright development and a dense canopy. Early size therefore gives an incomplete picture of its long-term space needs. Plan around the later growth habit described for the cultivar and check established local examples. A small plant at purchase is not evidence that the mature tree will remain similarly restrained.
